The Best Bike Trails near your Daytona Apartments

bike daytona apartments

There’s a lot to love about living in our community of apartments in Daytona Beach, but it’s an especially lovely place if you’re into outdoor activities. With that in mind, we decided to write this week’s blog post about one of our favorite outdoor activities; exploring the bike trails around Daytona Beach. Whether you’re into urban trails or paths that go past nature preserves, you’ll find a trail on this list that works for you

With the intro out of the way, let’s get right to the list of trails! Check out the post below, and be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of Daytona apartments.

Casselberry Greenway Trail

Urban-yet-scenic, the Casselberry Greenway Trail traces a path along the edge of a golf course and a nature preserve. One of the best things about this trail is that it’s got plenty of signage that will keep you on the right path. Any biker who’s gotten lost and had to resort to GPS can appreciate this well-marked path.

The Casselberry Greenway Trail connects to the Wirz Park Trailhead, so be sure to take that extension if you feel like continuing your ride. The Wirz Park trail will take you on a wide loop around a wetland area, giving you plenty of chances to stop and snap pics of the natural beauty in this part of Florida..

Cross Seminole Trail

This next trail is used for commuters as often as it’s used for recreation. The Cross Seminole Trail covers more than 22 miles of mostly residential area, but it is a dedicated bike trail that keeps riders separate from roads. This is a rail trail, and you’ll see the tracks next to you almost the entire ride. We recommend this trail for bikers who are looking for a long, leisurely ride. It’s shaded, it’s windy, and it’s filled with casual riders who aren’t in a rush to get from Point A to Point B.

Cady Way Trail

We love this last trail on our list because it takes riders through a multitude of environments. Some sections of the trail cut through residential neighborhoods, others go over busy streets, and still others go around the area’s lakes. This trail does get busy, so be sure to keep your wits about you and let your presence be known when you’re coming up behind other bikers.

The Cady Way Trail is asphalt the entire way, and the entire thing covers about 6.5 miles. If you want a longer ride, we recommend veering left when you hit Lake Baldwin and taking the trail around the lake. Enjoy!
