Furnishing Advice from your Daytona Apartments

advice daytona apartments

What’s the first thing you did upon moving into our Daytona apartments? Some people live the minimalist life for awhile before finally giving in and buying new pieces for their place. Others can’t stay in their apartment for more than a day before going to a department store and buying all the extra pieces that make a new apartment feel like home. Whichever side of the coin you fall on, you’re going to need to buy furniture for your new place at some point. If you read through this week’s post, you’ll be prepared to make smart and efficient apartment-furnishing decisions.

In this week’s post, we’ll be talking about some of our favorite apartment-furnishing tips. The tips in this blog will help you make the most of your available square footage, and your apartment will seem more open and spacious as a result. We’re not going to tell you which pieces to buy, specifically, but the tips below should help you narrow down your choices.

Now that we’ve prepper you for this week’s post, let’s dive right in! When you’re done reading through it, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of Daytona apartments.

Pay attention to scale

Buying one big piece of furniture leads to buying more big pieces of furniture. After all, you don’t want to put a tiny coffee table in front of your massive couch. When you’re out buying furniture for your new place, make sure you’re paying attention to the effect one piece will have on the rest of your room. Buying one huge piece might be tempting, but buying multiple smaller pieces is often the smarter move.

Invest in multi-purpose pieces

Although we’d love to have you live at Eagle Landing forever, we understand that students move every few years. Keep that in mind when you’re buying furniture for your new place. Instead of buying one piece that fits perfectly in your current apartment, get pieces that can move, be altered, and can adapt to different living spaces. The more multi-purpose furniture you buy, the less new furniture you’ll have to buy whenever you do end up moving.

Keep it bright

It can be tempting to create a dark, cozy den of an apartment, but that’s a good way to make your space seem smaller than it really is. Instead, try buying pieces and decor that are light and bright. Light colors make your space seem spacious and vibrant, which is a much more enjoyable look than the aforementioned dark and cozy den. Next time you’re out buying new pieces for your place, keep this in mind!

Those are all the furniture tips we’ve got for you this week, residents! We’d like to thank you for taking some time out of your busy summer schedule to read the latest brand new blog from Eagle Landing. We hope that after reading this post, you feel prepared to maximize the space in your new home.
